Household Support Fund – Energy Relief Scheme

Citizen’s Advice Devon are working with Devon County Council to manage an Energy Relief Scheme for people using pre-payment meters and who are struggling to meet their energy needs. Pre-payment meters are often used by people on lower incomes as a way to help them budget, but they can result in people paying more for their energy requirements.

If you are struggling with bills or worried about debt, you don’t need to struggle alone. You can get advice from Citizens Advice onlineover the phone, or by contacting your local Citizens Advice office.

    A smart meter can help us to identify situations where we’re using a lot of energy and might want to make changes to this. If you use the information shown on your in-home display to reduce your energy use, you could cut costs and become more energy efficient.

    A smart meter helps you take control of your energy use, by showing you exactly what you are spending in pounds and pence; no more estimated bills or supplying meter readings.
